abtathetravelconventionABTA announced that Costa Navarino in the Region of Peloponnese in the Greek region of Messinia will host the ABTA 2015 Travel Convention. The Convention will take place from 12-14 October.

The announcement was made yesterday, September 23rd, in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana at the end of a highly successful 2014 Convention.

Costa Navarino is a luxury coastal resort complex in the area of Messinia in the south western Peloponnese and offers access to numerous world heritage sites including Olympia and the temple of Apollo Epicurius. This will be first time that Greece has hosted the Convention since Kos in 2000.

Noel Josephides ABTA Chairman said: “I am delighted that the Region of Peloponnese has agreed to host the 2015 Travel Convention. Messinia is a beautiful and historic part of Greece and Costa Navarino’s facilities are second to none.”

Petros Tatoulis, Governor of the Region of Peloponnese said: “I am extremely satisfied and happy about ABTA’s decision to host next year’s event in the Peloponnese in the beautiful area of Messinia. The Peloponnese is a rapidly developing tourist destination, with unique beauty, rich cultural heritage, long history, exceptional gastronomy and most importantly with excellent tourist facilities. Great Britain is the most reliable market for our region and for this reason we give special attention to promote it. I am looking forward to welcoming you in Greece in October 2015, in order to explore the beauty of the area, experience the hospitality of the locals and live the “Mythical Peloponnese”. I would like to congratulate you for this year’s successful organization and looking forward to seeing you all next year.”
