ACTE Offers Corporate Travel Buyer Members
Unprecedented Zero-registration Fees to All 2015 Events

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK 21 October 2014 – The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced today at the ACTE Global Corporate Travel Conference taking place in Copenhagen an industry first: corporate travel buyer members will receive the zero-registration benefit for all 2015 ACTE events, a value of more than US$2,500.

The new membership benefit reduces a key attendance barrier the organization’s buyer members experience and gives them full access to the best education and research insights in the industry without having to pay a registration fee.

“The ACTE Board fully endorses this initiative,” noted Kurt Knackstedt, ACTE President. “The decision is a direct response to our members’ feedback.”

According to Greeley Koch, Executive Director, “ACTE recognized that companies can’t always cover the costs of attending conferences, but we didn’t want budget restrictions to exclude our buyer members from education opportunities.”

Based on pilot tests conducted in 2014, ACTE expects the new membership model will continue to bring more corporate travel professionals to the organization’s meetings and events. For ACTE’s supplier members, this means more face-to-face time with the corporate buyers they value and more opportunities to make connections.

“ACTE offered the zero-registration benefit for our Hong Kong and Copenhagen events this year and it was a tremendous success, said Koch. “Individual attendance in Hong Kong increased 15 percent year-over-year with a 15 percent increase in the number of countries participating. Nearly 100 travel managers attending the Copenhagen conference today were not at last year’s conference. These results led to ACTE rolling out this new benefit for all 2015 ACTE meetings and events.”
