One of the highlights will be the 2015 Global Meetings Trends presentation by American Express Meetings & Events taking place on Wednesday 19th November. This will be the first time the research is presented in the EMEA region and it will focus on issues impacting the meetings space including digital meetings solutions, planning in emerging markets, Group Air, tips for successful sourcing.

José-Antonio Ruiz, European Head of Meetings & Events at American Express Meetings & Events, comments on his participation in this year’s EIBTM: “We are pleased to be given the opportunity to present the findings from the American Express Meetings & Events 2015 Global Meetings Forecast for the first time in Europe at EIBTM 2014. The Forecast will offer insight into key trends in meeting planning for 2015 and we look forward to sharing this information at the show.”

Focused on the PHARMA sector a session by Caroline Hill and Mark Handforth, Directors of Compliant Venues, will discuss; ‘Compliance Adherence is now a Staple Diet for Healthcare Companies but What Happens Next?’ The presentation will show how to create strategic advantage in sourcing and delivery of successful healthcare events, taking into account the increasing number of regulatory and compliance demands placed on healthcare clients.

Providing an insight into future trends, MPI presents a “Future of Meetings” workshop where attendees will learn from their analysis of trends that will affect the short and long term future with both events and meetings content.

Rob Davidson of the MICE Knowledge Consultancy gives two presentations of the global EIBTM Trends Watch which uses the latest data to give a comprehensive overview of business trends aimed at helping attendees consider the implications of the research for their future business strategies.

Bringing both China and India markets into focus, research from the IBTM portfolio of events through CIBTM and IBTM India which took place this year, two independently commissioned reports will be presented that give insight into the buying habits of planners from China and India which will also help suppliers understand how to attract business from these two mega economies.

Rob Davidson who presented the 2nd China MICE Buyers’ Report at CIBTM in China last month says: “The sheer size of the Chinese market for meetings and events makes it a major player on the global scale”.

Martin Lewis, Managing Editor, CAT Publications also commented, “We were delighted to work with sponsors Reed Travel Information/IBTM India and CVent on our latest market research project for the events industry, the India Meetings & Events Industry Survey. The project undertook an analysis of the activities of India-based corporate, association and agency event organisers using the successful template we have previously used for the British Meetings & Events Industry Survey. To carry out the survey, we used data supplied by M&IT India’s own database, IBTM India and CVent. We believe this is the first survey of its kind to examine quantitative and qualitative data about the habits of the Indian market and we are looking forward to present it at EIBTM.”
