Jumeirah turns pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Jumeirah turns pinkDubai: Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, is marking October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month with a series of activities and events.

On 1 October, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah will turn pink to join a number of world famous landmarks participating in the Estée Lauder Companies’ Global Landmarks Illumination Initiative. The hotel will show its continuous support for the campaign by lighting its sail in pink and adorning it with a symbolic pink ribbon projection on 1 and 31 October from 8-11pm.

Guests visiting the hotel next month are in for a special treat as Burj Al Arab’s Executive Pastry Chef, Johannes Bonin, has created the finest selection of delicacies for this occasion. The exquisite pastries include yuzu and raspberry opera cake, strawberry sweet puff and pink-glazed traditional French mille feuilles and are served as part of the afternoon tea.

Colleagues at Jumeirah Beach Hotel will enjoy healthy eating and have the option to attend an awareness lecture from Life Line Hospital with a free checkup. Cupcakes will be sold throughout the month for AED 25 and AED5 will be donated to charity.

Jumeirah Creekside Hotel will offer a 120 minute Breast Cancer Awareness Package at Akaru Spa, comprising four treatments plus a complimentary bust mask for AED 495. Valid from 1-31 October 2014, the package includes a Silky Skin Body Scrub, Aromatic Back Wrap, Reviver Massage, Guinot Taster Facial and a Bust Mask. A pink theme will run throughout the hotel and include pink flowers, macaroons, lights in the pool and pink drinks.

Throughout October Jumeirah Emirates Towers Talise Fitness is offering membership promotions throughout October. Two female friends can join and receive 50% discount off one membership. Existing members who refer a friend will receive a two month extension to their membership.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray’s Talise Ottoman Spa will offer a Rose Bliss Body Massage treatment (60/90 minutes) and donate money from every purchase to Breast Cancer charities, valid throughout October. A pink themed day will take place at the spa with colleagues wearing fancy dress and themed decorations from 17-18 October. In the Sultan’s Lounge the Turkish ice cream server will adopt a pink uniform and all proceeds will go to charity.

Madinat Jumeirah will host a pink afternoon tea throughout October to raise awareness for breast cancer. Pastries will feature the breast cancer logo, colours and ribbons. The chocolate fountain will have strawberry pink chocolate inside.

Jumeirah at Etihad Towers is offering special packages at Talise Spa.Book a 60 minute Intensive Muscle Release treatment and receive a 30 minute complimentary head massage. This restorative and deep tissue treatment infused with ginger and black pepper will release tight muscles and reduce tension, priced at AED 450, valid from 1-31 October 2014.
During October, the afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge will turn pink. All the tea and coffee will be served with a pink ribbon, chocolate lollypop or piece of pink Swiss roll. A pink themed buffet will be offered at Rosewater.

Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa will light up pink for 31 days starting from 1 October. The hotel’s entrance, lobby, palm trees, and beach will be filled with pink lights and the hotel’s colleagues will wear the symbolic Breast Cancer Awareness pins. To further mark this occasion, Talise Spa has launched the Pretty in Pink package, a special 55-minute spa experience. The package includes a 25-minute back, neck and shoulder massage followed by a 25-minute Express Facial treatment. In addition, spa guests availing of this package will be entitled to use the spa exclusive facilities for the day and will receive a special spa gift.

Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living will decorate the lobby with pink flowers, create pink cakes and turn the Atrium light pink on the last Friday of the month. The concierge team will join in with pink buttonholes and pink juice will be offered in the Atrium.

Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel will light the hotel’s façade in pink for breast cancer awareness day in Spain on 19 October. Pink amenities will be offered for ladies staying over the weekend.
