Today, the Total E-Quality Deutschland initiative will present the Total E-Quality Award to TUI AG for the period from 2014 to 2016. TUI AG had already been among the award winners in 2011.

The award is presented to companies, associations and organisations whose HR policies verifiably promote equal opportunities for men and women at the workplace in the long term.

In explaining its decision, the jury commended, in particular, the tourism group’s support for families, e.g. the large number of individual and flexible models for working hours. “What is remarkable are the opportunities offered to achieve a work-life balance,” the jury explained. The measures offered range from the TUI crèche and a childcare exchange platform all the way to a scholarship programme making it possible for elder children to spend time abroad. TUI also runs an elder-care programme to support the provision of care to relatives in need of care, and offers part-time training for single parents.

The positive evaluation of TUI was also driven by the “promotion of partnership-based conduct at the workplace”. A trained competence team of employees support their colleagues throughout the Group in the event of stress-induced conditions under the motto “People for people”.
