Sydney, 16 November — All delegates to the Association of Corporate Travel Executives’ Global Travel Conference in Sydney (8-9 December 2014) will receive a copy of the Interim Australian Aviation and Airfare Analysis.
Jointly produced by 4th Dimension, the new business travel consulting division for the Flight Centre Travel Group, and CAPA-Centre for Aviation, the 37-page report offers a comprehensive perspective on current and evolving market trends, while focusing on domestic airline capacity, scheduling and performance.
“The value of data is determined by its depth and ease of interpretation,” said Greeley Koch, ACTE’s executive director. “In the Interim Australian Aviation and Airfare Analysis, 4th Dimension and CAPA provide detailed analysis to the advantage of business travel managers engaging with travellers to get the most out of trending fares. This is information you want at your fingertips. And this is just part one”.
Part two of the Australian Aviation and Airfare Analysis will be available in early 2015. The full report will include a 2014 year-end conclusion, and a specialist airfare benchmarking analysis as well as predictions for the travel market in 2015.
4th Dimension General Manager Virginia Fitzpatrick said, “The information in this report appeals to a cross-section of travel industry stakeholders. From corporate procurement departments, travel management companies, airlines and travellers. The report also interests those working in the retail travel industry as it clearly highlights how retail or ‘holiday’ airfares have been performing and when is the best time to purchase fares”. She added the airfare benchmarking brought ‘big data’ to life for travel buyers by leveraging the huge volume of ticketing data available through the Flight Centre group.
Executive Chairman of CAPA Peter Harbison said, “We’re pleased to offer this report to ACTE attendees as another incentive to come to the December conference. The report fills a major market intelligence gap for the travel and aviation sectors in Australia. Our region generally receives only cursory coverage in many global market reports, so it’s exciting to be providing deep insights into Australia’s sizeable aviation and travel market”.
