– Partnership forged to provide support for international life sciences conferences held in Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: November 23, 2014: Dubai Business Events (DBE) and DuBiotech, subsidiaries of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and TECOM Investment respectively, have signed a memorandum of understanding pledging to collaborate in supporting international life sciences conferences held in Dubai. The aim of the agreement is to increase the number of life sciences conferences held in Dubai while simultaneously boosting educational opportunities for life sciences professionals within the UAE.
At the official signing of the agreement last week, Hamad Bin Mejren, Executive Director of DTCM, commented: “This partnership presents a dynamic working environment for Dubai to exploit its growing reputation as a life sciences knowledge hub by uniting efforts to attract health conferences to Dubai while also continuing the overall goal of positioning Dubai as a global business hub.”
The agreement outlines how both parties will contribute in supporting international life sciences conferences that are currently held in Dubai, attracting new international conferences to Dubai and increasing opportunities for further education in innovation and best practices of the UAE life sciences industry as a whole. DuBiotech will facilitate the involvement of industry experts in workshops and seminars while providing industry insight and support in the bidding process for new conferences in the life sciences industries.
