2015 visit.brussels Awards Ceremony: the call for applications has been launched

For the fifth consecutive year, the visit.brussels Awards Ceremony would like to honour Brussels’ best tourist initiatives; the ones that consistently help to shape an ever more welcoming image of the capital, and play an active role in making it a world famous destination.

The visit.brussels Awards are launching the call for applications today: original achievements, projects, actions and concepts are invited to sign up in the different categories described on the website.

To start with, members of the public will choose the three best projects in each category. Then a panel of judges, made up of professionals from Brussels’ tourist industry, will select the 2015 winners from the finalists. Lastly, at the visit.brussels Awards & Networking Night on 26 March 2015, the prizes will be handed out to the winners.

Initiative from public institutions that has boosted the influence and reputation of Brussels.
« NEW CONCEPT 2014 »
Innovation that boosts the tourist image of Brussels abroad.
« EVENING EXPERIENCE 2014 »
A concept that adds something special to evenings out in Brussels.
« MOST NOTED EXHIBITION 2014 »
A cultural exhibition that has added to the attraction of Brussels in 2014.
« INTERNATIONAL EVENT 2014 »
Annual or biennial event which raises the image of Brussels abroad.
« BEST GASTRONOMIC CONCEPT 2014 »
A food-related activity that adds fresh appeal to Brussels’ tourism offer.
« NEW EVENT LOCATION 2014 »
Renovation, restoration and innovation that boost the image of Brussels abroad for tourism and events.
« HOTEL NEWCOMER 2014 »
New concept or innovation in the exciting world of hostelry.
« INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS 2014 »
A congress that has boosted the influence and reputation of Brussels.

Important dates:

19 January 2015 (midnight): application process closes
23 January 2015: public voting begins
22 February 2015 (midnight): public voting closes
23 February 2015: the three nominees are announced
26 March 2015: visit.brussels Awards & Networking Night 2015
