Paris, Munich: Eventbase Technology Inc., creators of the leading mobile event platform for premium events, demonstrates the world’s first wearable XING EVENTS ticket for smart watches at the LeWeb Conference in Paris this week.
Powered by Eventbase and integrated with the XING EVENTS registration system, the official LeWeb mobile app could be paired with an Android Wear smart watch to display a user’s credentials.
That attendee could then have their watch scanned to access a building, without ever taking their smartphone from their pocket or showing a printed badge.
CEO of XING EVENTS, Dr. Cai-Nicolas Ziegler noted, “We are particularly delighted to introduce our wearable ticket here at LeWeb. It really is Europe’s premier conference for digital innovation, and hence the perfect backdrop to showcase how wearable technology can be used to streamline and improve the attendee experience. We have made significant investments in the past few years to ensure our ticketing systems and APIs are world leading in terms of both flexibility and security.
Serving LeWeb together with mobile app provider Eventbase helps us showcase what our ticketing and registration systems are capable of.”
Eventbase EMEA Managing Director, Richard Caelius, says that in addition to displaying your badge on your wrist, there are many strong use cases for wearable technologies at events.
“As an extension to our event apps, a wearable device can automatically present relevant and timely information at a glance, facilitate attendee networking and drive audience participation,” Caelius says. “With the introduction of products like the new Apple Watch, wearable devices stand to have a significant impact at events in 2015 and beyond.”
