TUI Travel Accommodation & Destinations maintains strong growth in 2014, increasing sales by 10% to €4,048 million

-The company registered an EBITDA growth of 13% during last fiscal year.

-Hotelbeds, the leader bedbank worldwide, experienced 18% growth in roomnight sales.

-Intercruises, the world leading cruise handling company, increased portcalls by 11% compared to the previous year.

Palma de Mallorca, 4th December 2014 – TUI Travel Accommodation & Destinations (A&D), part of TUI Travel PLC, has closed another successful fiscal year growing sales by 10% in 2014 (year ending 30 September), reaching €4,048 million in Total Transaction Value (TTV). EBITDA increased by 13% to €132 million, with EBITA reaching €100.6 million. The company has once again significantly outperformed the global tourism industry, which has registered only 5% growth in international tourist arrivals amid increasing global challenges[1].

A&D growth highlights include:

18% increase in its bedbank Hotelbeds’ roomnight sales.

11% growth worldwide in portcalls handled by the Intercruises brand.

39% increase in TTV sales from the transfer and activity bank.

12% growth in employees worldwide up to 11,789 people across 68 countries.

18% growth in head office staff based in Palma de Mallorca, now employing 1,588 people supporting the global operations worldwide.
