In 2014 Messukeskus Helsinki attracted altogether 1,146,090 visitors to fairs, meetings, congresses, corporate events and other happenings. The number of visitors increased by 40,000 from the year 2013.
One million people came to Messukeskus to attend fairs. Meetings, congresses and other events attracted over 100,000 visitors. All in all Messukeskus as a venue for different corporate events gained more popularity as the number of meetings, congresses and other corporate events grew by a couple of hundred to 1543.
An even number of 100 fairs and exhibitions of different industries were held at Messukeskus Helsinki. The number of exhibitors was altogether 9430 including both the exhibitions and fairs organised by Messukeskus and events for which the premises were rented out to other event organisers.
Last year Messukeskus hosted numerous international congresses and top business seminars, such as the ITS Europe for intelligent transport systems and services, and the ISRRT 2014 world congress for Radiographers and Radiological Technologists. In October Messukeskus gathered European business leaders to the Nordic Business Forum, and in November start-ups and technology talents got together with investors and the media to Slush.
In addition to fairs and meetings, the renewed premises of Messukeskus adapt well to other use. The FCI World Dog Show in August was one of the definite highpoints of the year 2014 and brought 50,000 dog lovers to the venue. Assembly, the biggest LAN event in Finland, was also hosted by Messukeskus Helsinki as well as the Summer Sound festival for electronic music.

The next event at Messukeskus Helsinki is the MATKA Nordic Travel Fair which is the largest travel event in northern Europe. Also the Caravan fair for motor homes and caravans is held at the same time.
Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre, promotes Finnish welfare by enabling effective face to face encounters at exhibitions, meetings, conferences and other events. Exhibitions are the sixth most used marketing medium in Finland. Face to face encounters make the most impact, are the most social and create experiences like no other medium. In 2014 a hundred fairs and over 1500 meetings and congresses were held at Messukeskus Helsinki. 9400 exhibitors and 1,1 million visitors took part in the events.
