36% increase in group coordinators will grow UK buyers at The Meetings Show

The Meetings Show has welcomed a host of new and returning hosted buyer recruiters and coordinators for the 2015 show, with a significant focus on the delivery of buyers from the UK.

Lexi deLeon from etouches, a first time group coordinator at The Meetings Show, said: “We realise the value the hosted buyer model has in offering exhibitors the chance to reach key decision makers. As a group coordinator, I have the chance to bring etouches closer to buyers in the UK market, and allow us to understand their needs and deliver upon them. Our team is excited by the prospect of working with The Meetings Show over the coming months to help us reach a key target of UK buyers.”

More than 60 individuals and organisations, many of which are new for 2015, have committed to bringing groups of hosted buyers to The Meetings Show 2015. New coordinators include: Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotels, Millennium& Copthorne Hotels, The Hotel Collection, The Royal Garden Hotel, Wedgewood DMC Group, etouches, ESAE (European Society of Association Executives), Dubai Convention & Events Bureau, VisitBrighton, Coventry City Council, MPI Denmark, GMG Network, Capita, Manchester Central and The QEII Centre. This is in addition to a further five new DMC and representation companies inviting their key UK clients to the event.

Returning coordinators include: Accor, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Hilton Worldwide, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, London & Partners, Perception Sales & Marketing, Global Cynergies, GT Associates, MPI UK, Spectra, Inntel, Global Marketing Connections and HelmsBriscoe.

HelmsBriscoe’s executive director Europe, Carole McKellar comments: “The Meetings Show has established itself as the UK’s must attend meeting and market place for conference and meetings organisers. Group coordinators work alongside The Meetings Show’s hosted buyer team to bring key clients to the event. They include a mixture of exhibitors, representation companies, agencies and well known industry figures who use the programme to spend dedicated face-to-face time with those individuals making up their hosted buyer group. Buyers and their coordinators benefit from complimentary travel and accommodation, access to hosted buyer lounges and attendance at all exclusive networking events.

Organised by Centaur Exhibitions, The Meetings Show is the must attend event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry, taking place 7-9 July 2015 at Olympia, London. Organised by meeting professionals for meeting professionals it is focused around a large exhibition, networking opportunities and professional education.
