Sadler’s Wells Events has seen a 10% increase in corporate event sales for its daytime meeting facility the Rosebery Room during the period of January-December 2014.
The majority of the increase in bookings came from repeat business of existing Sadler’s Wells clients in addition to attracting new clients to the venue. The increase in corporate events was achieved in spite of a six week venue closure in summer last year for extensive refurbishment work.
While also responsible for renting the theatre spaces for a number of regular dance industry clients, the events team has seen a significant increase in corporate and charity sector bookings, offering a creative and inspiring environment for local businesses hosting day meetings, training and conferences.
Recent events booked at the venue include the Puffin Books, BBC Radio 3, Design Business Association and Expedia and the venue has teamed up with Executive PA and is set to welcome 40 EAs and PAs in March for an exclusive event to showcase the theatre complex and to meet the ‘PA of the Year’.
Sadler’s Wells Event Manager Georgie Smith says: “We’re delighted to have seen such great results in 2014. We have gained two new members to our events team in the last year and I’m really proud of the hard work they have put into developing new business for the venue. I think it’s also a sign that the events market in London is growing stronger so I’m looking forward to driving this forward in 2015.”
