WTM Africa 2015, the leading business to business tourism event in Africa, has been expanded to a three-day event, following the hugely successful inaugural show
WTM Africa launched in spring 2014 as a two-day event in Cape Town and immediately established itself as the leading B2B tourism event in Africa.
The inaugural event saw almost 4,000 industry professionals negotiate deals worth $314 million (£189 million).
Following the success of WTM Africa 2014 – and in response to demand among exhibitors and visitors – the event has been expanded by a full day in to a three-day event.
Furthermore, WTM Africa 2015 exhibition floor space will be 50% bigger due to increased interest from both private and public sector companies around the world looking to take part.
The 2015 show will again take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) and will run from 15th -17th April.
Sheree Simpson, WTM Africa Exhibition Manager commented: “WTM Africa 2014 attracted exhibitors from all over Africa and beyond, and is the only tradeshow of its kind on the African continent to focus on inbound and outbound travel, resulting in $314 million of travel industry deals.”
“The 2015 edition of WTM Africa will see a greater number of business deals and amount of business conducted over the event’s three days.”
The extended WTM Africa will include an enlarged Events programme which will include the International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations – bringing together travel companies, organisations and individuals interested in mainstreaming sustainable practices in the travel industry.
The second WTM Africa takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), from April 15-17 2015 and is one of three events that make up Africa Travel Week, with IBTM Africa and ILTM Africa taking place on 13 – 15 April.
