CONVENE 2015 Closes to Acclaim

The 3rd edition of CONVENE held at the Litexpo centre from 11 to 12 February in Vilnius has closed to a chorus of ringing endorsements from the hosted buyer and exhibitor communities alike.

Records tumbled at CONVENE with 157 hosted buyers from 29 countries joined by VIP visitors from Lithuania undertaking 3525 pre scheduled appointments. Nearly 600 attended the substantially enlarged professional education programme with a 21 session across three days. 50 % of buyers participated in 7 fam tours with the further 70 taking advantage of complimentary Vilnius city tours.

„Vilnius meetings industry supply chain has collaborated to present an event with style and panache which show cases what our city, our country and the Baltic Sea region has to offer”, said Jolanta Beniuliene, the director of CONVENE exhibition and Vilnius Convention Bureau.

The annual show’s aim is to focus attention on the Baltic Sea Region. CONVENE 2015 boasted an increased number of exhibitors, who were from 11 different countries. This year Denmark, Ukraine and Slovakia joined the original exhibitor countries of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Belarus and Russia.

Steen Miller, Head of Business Events at Visit Denmark was delighted with his first visit to CONVENE: “We all agree that we are coming back.
