Travel trade exhibition taking place from 22 to 24 April 2015, attracting many representatives from the continent to Sao Paulo
Since its first edition, WTM Latin America, the event that brings the world to Latin America and promotes Latin America to the world, will attract a large number of national and international exhibitors to Sao Paulo from Latin America.
Last year WTM Latin America generated business deals in excess of $341 million (£206 million). Companies and organisations attracted by the opportunity to close business partnerships, sign deals and strengthen relationships with markets and companies from around the world have all signed up for 2015. And, as expected, Latin American companies will have a large presence on the exhibition floor, with many new exhibitors joining for 2015.
Taking place between 22 and 24 April, WTM Latin America 2015 is held simultaneously with the 43 Braztoa (Brazilian Association of Tour Operators) Commercial Meeting and has an extensive list of confirmed exhibitors.
The exhibition floor will be divided into five sectors: Brazil, the World, Global Village (comprising of multinational brands and travel tech companies), Braztoa and Latin America.
Among the highlights of the Latin American region are the NTOs (National Organisations of Tourism). Chile and Peru, which have both increased their exhibition area substantially compared to 2014, and AMResorts, the Latin American hotel chain which comprises of luxury resorts in Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic have also increased their presence this year and are expecting to conduct more business deals with the buyers in attendance.
Colombia and the promotion agency of Colombia in Brazil, ProExport, have also confirmed their presence for 2015 with the plan to showcase their many cultural attractions – starting with the historical heritage – as well as all the natural beauty and the array of beaches they have on offer.
Agencies and operators
Other new exhibitors to join the Latin America region of the exhibition floor include CTS Turismo, Chilean Travel Services, the inbound tourism agency and one of the most important companies in Chile. Along with Transturin, a company that promotes tourism and cultural tours in Bolivia.
Operators will also be present, such as the Peruvian company FacePeru – which is owned and run by local guides, based in the city of Cusco, and Fenix Peru, a company that offers tailored travel itineraries.
Lawrence Reinisch Director WTM Latin America commented: “Promoting Latin America to the world is one of the main aims of WTM Latin America and our exhibitors not only achieve this goal, but we find it also exceeds their expectations. Entering our third year, the participation of these important organizations and companies mentioned above is a testament to WTM Latin America, making it one of the most important trades fair’s in the world.
“I am confident that the 2015 edition will reaffirm our position in the market and bring with it a new record in business transactions generated as a result of deals taking place on the exhibition floor.”
