Church House Conference Centre will host the first World Congress for Existential Therapy when it comes to London in May.
The four day event, which covers the themes of freedom, responsibility and the meaning of being, has been organised by The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) on behalf of the Existential Academy, and will be held at the Westminster venue from 14-17 of May.
International keynote speakers from the field of existential therapy will address delegates, including Dr Irv Yalom who will appear live via satellite using video conference facilities. Attendees will also participate in a variety of experiential workshops and live demonstrations with existential experts, watch rare footages of classic existential masters as well as engaging in a variety of lectures and debates with leading existential therapists and authors from all over the world.
Professor Emmy van Deurzen, Principal of the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, comments: “Church House is such a beautiful historic location. It is a great location for our guests to be at and their wonderful staff will be able to support us in making the congress a success.”
Robin Parker, General Manager at Church House Conference Centre, comments: “We are excited to welcome this new event through the doors of Church House. It has attracted an impressive range of international speakers and will allow members of the public to engage with existential therapy experts. Experiential models are becoming increasingly popular and The World Congress for Existential Therapy should be a great example of how events can more fully engage with their audience. The event is proving to be extremely popular as tickets for one of the days have already sold out and we expect a capacity crowd to be in attendance.”
