Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare has been selected to host the World Travel Awards (WTA) Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2015.
Set to take place on Saturday, June 20th, the dazzling red-carpet ceremony will welcome hospitality leaders and luminaries from across the regions.
Located on the south end of Mahé in Baie Lazare, Kempinski Seychelles Resort is the perfect location for the Gala Ceremony.
An indulgent retreat offering a huge variety of facilities and activities, the hotel offers everything from adventure holidays spent exploring the unique natural landscape of the Seychelles to romantic breaks in one of the breathtaking suites.
Announcing the decision, World Travel Awards President Graham Cooke said: “It has been a long held ambition for World Travel Awards to visit the Seychelles and I am delighted to reveal Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare will welcome our Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony in June.
“It will be an honour for us to welcome regional hospitality leaders to our event.”
World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
Today, the WTA brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
Each year WTA covers the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognise and celebrate individual and collective successes within each key geographical region.
Alain St.Ange, Seychelles’ Minister for Tourism & Culture, said: “Seychelles is proud to be hosting the prestigious World Travel Awards African & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2015 at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort on Saturday, June 20th.
“This is a fine example of Africa doing for Africa, and the Vanilla Islands doing for the Vanilla Islands, a concept that I have long held dear, and this is an excellent example of this process in action.”
He added: “At Kempinski Seychelles Resort, participants in this ultimate travel event will have an opportunity to taste Seychelles’ hospitality at its very best and showcase the African and Indian Ocean region’s hospitality products for the diversity, authenticity and excellence they represent.”
