Australia’s leading financial experts and political heavyweights descended on the Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) in Brisbane today for the traditional Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) post federal budget breakfast.
Brisbane’s newest convention centre welcomed high profile guests including former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, award-winning current affairs journalist Ellen Fanning and Queensland Treasurer Curtis Pitt.
Royal ICC General Manager Venue Sales and Marketing Sally Pulford said holding the prestigious event for the third year in a row was a coup for the venue.
“We were thrilled to have the PwC Federal Budget Breakfast back at the Royal ICC this year, it is a testament to our stunning venue and our first class service standards,” she said.
“The event attracted 2,100 guests who were served a breakfast menu created by our expert chefs which featured award winning products.
“This prestigious breakfast is highly regarded and we were honoured to stage it again.’’
May is proving to be one of the busiest months for the Royal ICC since opening in March, 2013 with 34 events being held across 30 days at the convention centre and Brisbane Showgrounds.
Ms Pulford said there were still major events coming up in May including the Queensland Rugby League Naming of the Team Lunch, AGOSCI 12th Biennial Conference and Illumi Run.
“We’re looking forward to hosting our remaining events this month and continuing to provide our five star Royal ICC service,” she said.
Since opening in March, 2013 the Royal ICC has held more than 300 events and has had the honour of hosting Her Royal Highness, the Princess Royal (Princess Anne) at the 26th Commonwealth Agricultural Conference and Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Queensland Real Estate Agents’ Summit 2015.
The Royal ICC is located 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD at the Brisbane Showgrounds. For more information about the Royal ICC click here http://www.royalicc.com.au/
