World PCO Alliance sees turnover grow in 2014

Per Ankaer, from ICS – International Conference Services in Denmark, the President of the Alliance says: “Our Alliance’s members’ – consisting of 19 Professional Congress Organizers worldwide – total turnover has grown 10% over the last year.

The members operated numerous conferences this past year, including European Society for Dermatological Research Congress, operated by ICS in Copenhagen in September 2014 with over 1,000 delegates, the 32nd World Congress of Endourology which was held in Taipei, September 4-7, 2014 organized by K&A, and UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Okayama/Nagoya (Nov. 2014) operated by Congress Corporation, our Japanese partner.”

To enhance the cooperative network of independent PCOs, during the upcoming IMEX in Frankfurt, the World PCO Alliance will be interviewing candidate PCO’s in countries marked for strategic expansion of the Alliance. More than 40 firms in 19 countries have indicated an interest in joining the Alliance.

The World PCO Alliance has had an active year in 2014-15 with Nina Freysen-Pretorius and

Gregg H. Talley elected to President and member of the Board of Directors of ICCA, respectively. There were numerous speaking engagements by members, including at IT&CMA Bangkok 2014 (Sep. 30 – Oct. 2), China International Conference, Event and Incentive Travel Forum 2015 (CCMIT) in Hangzhou, China (Mar. 19-20), and IT&CM China 2015 in Shanghai (Apr. 6-8), where Vice President Kitty Wong of K&A International, Taipei chaired Association Day organized by TTG Asia. We are supporting the International & European Associations Congress, held this year in Lausanne, Switzerland and brought some of the Alliance’s association clients to the Congress as well as the President of the Alliance, Per Ankaer, attended the Congress.
