Event Tech Lab’s #CocktailHack on Tuesday 16th June at Campus London to celebrate London Tech Week is being sponsored by ibtm world (www.ibtmworld.com), formerly EIBTM. Each year ibtm world unites a global community of 3,000 suppliers and 9,750 meetings and events planners for 3 days of connections and business in the award winning city of Barcelona.
With event technology firmly on the global event industry’s ‘must have’ shopping list, supporting the event technology community is vital to the future of the events industry agenda. ibtm world has been leading that agenda for many years with multiple initiatives including dedicated areas at the show for global event tech suppliers and innovation showcase as well as a Tech and Innovation Watch Award recognizing game changers in the global meetings and events sector. This year, this includes partnering with Event Tech Lab and reaching out to the event technology start up community.
The event starts with six pitches from new event technology start ups from Australia, France, UK and USA alongside a demo from the winner of the #EventTechHack being held on 13/14 June. This is followed by the much talked about #CocktailHack that takes centre-stage with Exquisite Cocktails organising a cocktail making competition. Attendees are encouraged to form teams and create a cocktail that will be judged by attendees and an expert panel. Graeme Barnett, ibtm world’s Senior Exhibition Director will announce the winner of the competition and award the winner’s prize.
James Morgan, co-founder of Event Tech Lab stated “engaging and co-creating with a pioneer of thought leadership for the events industry is key to our vision of nurturing and promoting event technology as discipline within the industry landscape”
Graeme Barnett, Senior Exhibition Director of ibtm world said “We’re delighted to be sponsoring Event Tech Lab’s #CocktailHack, an event that truly showcases the importance of technology to our industry. ibtm world (formerly EIBTM) has always championed event tech and start-ups and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the future.”
