World Travel Market London 2015 is giving travel and tourism students the chance to talk to potential employees as part of its ITT Future You program. It is the sixth time that the Institute of Travel and Tourism has hosted its Future You event at the world’s leading event for the travel industry. It is one of the most attended sessions, attracting 600 people last year.

The “career networking” initiative is new for 2015. The time for students to talk to travel firms will be freed up by shorter presentations and speeches.

The companies that are taking part are: Real Gap, STA Travel, Hilton Worldwide, SKAL/Heathrow Academy and Global Spirit.

Real Gap, a gap year and student travel specialist, will be offering one student two week’s work experience at its head office, while representatives from Hilton will also be talking work experience opportunities.

The programme will be moderated by Danny Waine, CEO, Perfect Weddings Abroad.

The ITT Future You will also showcase this year’s TTG 30 Under 30 Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders. One person on the list is Blue Chip Holidays Head of Product Development Sam Wrigglesworth. He will share his experiences with a specific slant on the challenges he faced and how he overcame them.

World Travel Market London, Senior Director, Simon Press said: “We are proud that WTM London is actively involved in helping the current  crop of travel and tourism students to get the most out of the course and help them to find work in the industry.

“The career networking is an exciting new development for the Future You event, and it’s a great chance for students to sit down and talk to travel firms who are interested in bringing through exciting new talent.”
