Busy months ahead for meetings city CopenhagenCopenhagen is ready to host a string of prestigious meetings and conferences in early 2016, including MPIs EMEC 2016, the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Association and Conference Forum and the IAPCO EDGE 2016 forum.

Among the influential events to be held in Copenhagen in 2016 is the IAPCOTraining Academy’s IAPCO EDGE, an advanced education forum for PCOs, convention bureaus and venues. The forum offers an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities of today’s rapidly changing meetings landscape. It will take place at Scandic Copenhagen on January 19-21, 2016.

Another January event in Copenhagen is the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Association and Conference Forum,  which is expected to draw a small but influential group of powerful decision-makers from international meeting associations to Copenhagen. Around 70 members of associations that primarily stage medical and clean-tech industry conferences with 3,000+ delegates will gather in the Danish capital on January 21-23.

Last but not least, the international meetings industry will gather in Copenhagen during February 7-9, when Meeting Professional International (MPI) stages the European Meetings & Events Conference. The event unfolds at RadissonScandinavia Hotel and will be executed according to the Danish design principleMeetovation, which focuses on sustainability, interaction and a high return on meeting investment.

What makes Copenhagen an attractive host city?

Copenhagen’s is ranked one of the most  popular congress cities in the world, and is easy and safe to reach and navigate in.

Copenhagen is a knowledge hub where some of the strong points are within the life science and clean tech industries, and the city invests heavily in development of these particular fields. The area just north of Copenhagen is nicknamed ‘Medicon Valley’ due to an abundance of medical businesses, and a new health tech lab has just been launched.
