EMEC 2016 is designed in alignment with the Danish meetings design concept,Meetovation, so delegates can expect a conference with clear objectives, where delegates are actively involved as participants in a creative setup supported by memorable elements of local inspiration.
Responsible thinking is also core in Meetovation, and a number of CSR-initiatives are unfolded and visualized using the open source CSR-initiative #BeeSustain. For example, all delegates are asked to bring an extra pair of gloves, an extra hat or some socks. The items will be donated to the Danish Red Cross and given to people in need who don’t have the luxury of warmth.
EMEC equals Meetovation
“We integrated the principles of Meetovation into every element of the conference because we want to practice what we preach,” said Pierre Fernandez, senior director of European Operations at MPI. “EMEC 2016 will focus on MPI’s pillars – education, networking and business exchange – but what will be unique is the way in which participants experience them. The result will be a higher level of learning, comprehension and retention of knowledge.”
The conference’s two facilitators, Ann Hansen and Bo Kruger,co-developers of the Meetovation concept and training programme, will encourage attendees to write the next chapter in their own professional story, under the headline #WriteHistoryinCPH.
Other programme highlights include the MPI Hosted Buyer Programme to provide business exchange between the industry’s planner and supplier communities, and the MPI Foundation will host Rendezvous on Monday, 8 February at the Toldboden in Copenhagen.
