SAS has extended its contract with Apollo for charter flights within Europe. The contract is worth SEK 1.1 billion and covers the summer- and winter season 2016–2017. This partnership means that SAS will take care of Apollo’s customers from 17 locations in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway to 30 destinations in Europe.

After a long and steadfast partnership lasting more than 15 years, Apollo has once again chosen SAS as its primary partner for the majority of its charter flights from Scandinavia during the summer- and winter season 2016–2017.

“Obviously it’s a fantastic feeling that Apollo has once again chosen SAS to be its partner,” says Annelie Nässén, VP Global Agent Sales, SAS. “SAS recently won several awards at the industry’s Grand Travel Awards, including Best European airline, and with Apollo’s continued confidence in us, we see this as proof that our efforts are paying off. We look forward to continuing to welcome Apollo’s customers on board our aircraft.”

Thanks to SAS’s flexible fleet, Apollo is able to offer direct flights both from major cities and from regional airports in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. SAS is now Apollo’s main external partner, apart from Novair, which is their own airline.

“We feel confident in SAS as a supplier for our customers and we have been very happy with their service over the years that we have been working together,” says Leif Vase Larsen, CEO of Apollo Travel Group. “SAS’s considerable flexibility is one of the things we value most.”

The contract between SAS and Apollo covers flights from three locations in Sweden, three in Denmark and eleven locations in Norway to 30 destinations in Europe.
