athensstreetfoodfestivalFollowing the overwhelming success of the three-day debut, the 1st ATHENS STREET FOOD FESTIVAL is under vigorous preparations for the next exciting long weekend.

MAY 27-28-29, PALIO AMAXOSTASIO OSY at GAZI

1st ATHENS STREET FOOD FESTIVAL

Athens Street Food Festival’s three-day debut took place in festive mood and was crowned with success!

The festival became talk-of-the-town, with over ten thousand Athenians as well as many tourists visiting Old Hackstand of OSY at Gazi (Palio Amaxostasio), despite the transport strike and rainy weather.

The large and original choice of tastes, the party mood – from music to space decor- and the thousands of pretty faces that took over the beautiful venue, was the best recipe for a feelgood long weekend with references to likewise international festivals.

People of all ages, small children, groups of teenagers, seniors, families, many tourists hung out together, mingled, tried new flavours and admitted to having a great time in this wonderful space, colourful and full of “sinful” aromas.

The second 3-day version (Friday 27th till Sunday 29th May) of ASFF is expected to be equally if not even more delightful! The weather forecast promises sunny, summer skies and the beautiful “back yard” of the Hackstand will be centre stage. Pepper 96,6 radio producers will be in charge of great mood (dj set by Giorgos Mouchtaridis on Friday) and for the festive closing of the festival on Sunday, George Gakis will perform live some seriously uplifting rock’n’roll classics.
