“We initiated this congress to meet a rising demand for international cooperation and to provide knowledge sharing in this work field. The aim was also, to establish an official European network, which meets annually and identifying challenges and opportunities to mark out directions and formulate strategies – something we truly succeeded in this week. One of the reasons to why we staged the congress in Copenhagen is that Copenhagen has shown excellent results in the resuscitation area in recent years. As a result, we have decided to continue where we left off today and invite the Congress back to Copenhagen next year. ”
It is the Capital Region Prehospital Services – Emergency response, Tryg Foundation, Laerdal Foundation and Wonderful Copenhagen, who took the initiative to arrange the European Emergency Medical Services Congress.
The plan is, that EMS, after being held in Copenhagen again in 2017, is to be held in different European cities, for then again to returning to Copenhagen.
