The Dubai Association Centre (DAC) has announced a 44% rise in the number of regional and international associations it has licensed in the first quarter of 2016 which takes the Centre’s total number of licensed associations to 23 from last year’s 16.
Seven new associations were recently awarded licensees including Young President Organisation, Middle East and North Africa Leisure and Attraction Council (Menalac), Middle East Facility Management Association (Mefma), The British Institute of Facilities Management, The Society of the Golden Keys, The Building Industry Consulting Service International and The Marketing Society.
Atiq Juma Nasib, Senior Vice-President, Commercial Services Sector, Dubai Chamber, stated: “Since its launch DAC has succeeded in consolidating Dubai’s position as a regional centre for professional associations to strengthen their economic activities in the region. The emirate with its easy access to the regional markets and highly developed infrastructural and logistics facilities including world-class airports connecting Southeast Asia and Africa provides an ideal platform for these bodies to operate from.”
