ibtm America 2016 ‘Techcollective’ set to include education sessions on hot topics within the Event Technology industry

ibtmamerica2016techcollectiveibtm america 2016 (www.ibtmamerica.com), taking place from June 15-17 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, has announced that the TECHCollective, the newly launched area located in the Central Hub, will include bite-sized education sessions held by leading event technology providers such as Bizzabo, etouches, Brightbox, Hubvents, DAHLIA+ and Meetoo.

Jaime McAuley, Event Director, ibtm america commented, “As part of the Central Hub and TECHCollective we will be launching the ‘Spotlight Stage,’ an area where industry professionals will present topics of interest throughout the day during ibtm america. These discussions will highlight some of the latest technology trends and provide the knowledge needed to create and manage events that attract and engage audiences.”

The Spotlight Stage will open with “The state of event planning – insights and findings” led by Tom Shelley, Bizzabo who will focus on key findings from Bizzabo’s “The 2016 Event Professionals of Tomorrow” survey which identified the biggest trends, pain points and challenges in the event planning world. Shelley will provide insight into the adoption of event technology, event marketing, measuring event success and more.

Mike Tenholder, Senior Sales Engineer, etouches, will lead “5 Factors That Help You Choose The Right Event Management Platform.” Tenholder will focus on what event planners needs to look for in a tech provider to make sure that they are set up for success.  And, in a joint session, Joel Martin, Brightbox will present with Meetoo on “3 Sponsorship Ideas That Ignite Engagement & Revenue.” Mohan Sunkara of Hubvents will close the first day of Spotlight Stage with his session “Wearables, IoT and Big Data: Transformative technology trends for 2017.”

Derek Britton of DAHLIA+ (www.dahliaplus.com), who partnered with ibtm america to create the TECHCollective, will lead two sessions on the second and final day of Spotlight Stage. In his session “Hands-on: Snapchat in 10 Minutes” Britton will demonstrate how attendees can utilize Snapchat to boost their online presence for their personal brand as well as for their business. And in “Top 5 Must Have Apps When on the Road” Britton will present the 10 top apps that will come in handy and help with productivity, travel arrangements, conference calls, scheduling and more.

In addition to the above education sessions, the TECHCollective will feature live demonstrations from some of the industry’s leading emerging event technology suppliers, including Conferences.io, eventcollab, initlive, InitLive, Meetoo, Hubvents, CadmiumCD’s , eventr.io and Zerista. Attendees will be able to cast a vote for the top innovation, to awarded the “Innovation in Motion Award” with their Poken devices and by using the official mobile app. The award will be presented at 12:30 on Friday, June 17th in the TECHCollective.
