Audio visual experts gathered at Church House Westminster last week (July 8) for an intensive training day focused on how to deliver exceptional experiences using the latest technology.
InfoComm’s Hands-On Day, organised by InfoComm International® – the trade association representing the professional audio visual and information communications industries worldwide – provided an interactive learning opportunity for AV professionals through a programme that allowed delegates to see, hear and get hands on experience.
The presenter was industry educator, author and presenter Joseph Cornwall who hosted three workshops including Making it Interactive, Making it Look Great and Making it Robust and Dependable. There were also a number of manufacturer training sessions including Microphone and Speaker Solutions from Audio-Technica, Laser Projection – Designed for the Long Haulfrom NEC Display Solutions, Creative Video Walls In Just Minutes from TV One, and a presentation from James Heron, co-founder and AViary Business Development Director at Green Hippo Ltd.
Chris Lavelle, Regional Director, UK and Ireland commented: “Our courses are aimed at providing audio visual professionals with insight into the latest technology. Our Hands-On Day provided a fantastic opportunity for delegates to learn so they can meet the fast changing challenges of client expectations for high quality content delivery systems. The venues we choose to host these events play a pivotal role in how we deliver our sessions. One of the key factors is choosing a venue which itself offers state-of-the-art AV facilities. Not only does Church House Westminster meet all our requirements but it is a prime example of audio visual excellence with an award-winning in-house team. We were delighted to be back for the second year and look forward to returning again in the future.”
Ian Locke, AV Manager at Church House Westminster, comments: “We were extremely pleased to once again have been chosen to facilitate InfoComm’s Hands-On Day. As a venue which prides itself on offering clients the latest audio visual equipment to enhance the delegate experience, hosting an event such as this gives the opportunity to learn and gain insight into new trends, allowing us to continually improve the service available at Church House Westminster.”
