Russia to present enchanting travel routes and FIFA 2018 host cities at the IFTM TOP RESA exhibition

Russia is arranging a presentation of tourism potential of the FIFA 2018 World Cup during the Paris’ international exhibition IFTM TOP RESA. The presentation is run by the Russia’s Federal Agency for Tourism with the participation of the Russian Embassy in France, FIFA 2018 organization committee, UEFA 2016 organization committee and Visit Russia project.

Moscow, Russia – The Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) takes part in the international tourism exhibition IFTM TOP RESA, which takes place from 20-23 September 2016 in Paris, France. One of the central events of the exhibition is going to be presentation entitled “Russian hospitality: enchanting travel routes and FIFA 2018 host cities” organized by Rostourism.

The main topic of the presentation will be preparation of the Russian travel industry for receiving foreign football fans during the FIFA 2018 World Cup that will take place in Russia, along with tourist products and package offers in the scope of the Cup, as well as the tourism potential of the country in general and its main travel routes.

Among the speakers of the presentation are Mr. Sergey Korneev, Deputy Director of Federal Agency for Tourism, representatives of Russian Embassy in France, FIFA 2018 organization committee, Visit Russia project, Tourism Development Board of the Government of Saint-Petersburg and others.

‘Russia is among TOP 10 most popular travel destinations for tourists from all over the world and participation in IFTM TOP RESA will further raise the interest to travelling to Russia. We are a travel-friendly country and we are going show how we are preparing to welcome international fans during FIFA 2018 World Cup’, – said Oleg Safonov, the Head of Rostourism.

The presentation ‘Russian hospitality: enchanting travel routes and FIFA 2018 host cities’ is taking place on 21 September 2016 at 10:30 am in RIO Room (Pavilion 7.1).
