The Association of Association Executives (AAE), organisers of the Associations Congress UK, has unveiled the shortlisted entries for the 2016 Association Awards UK. Winners will be announced at an inaugural celebratory dinner, to be held at Hilton London Wembley on Thursday 17th November, at the end of day one of the Associations Congress UK.
Finalists have been selected following a rigorous judging process by a prestigious panel consisting of influential association leaders, all focused on the continuous improvement of associations whether UK, International or European.
Now in their fifth year, the Association Awards UK are open to all UK associations and are free to enter. The awards aim to encourage as many as possible outstanding examples of association practice and case studies to be highlighted in order to promote best practice within the association community overall. Places at the celebratory dinner are given free of charge to all shortlisted candidates and included in the Associations Congress UK registration package. New in 2016 is the opportunity for association employees to purchase tickets to the awards dinner as a standalone event, without the need to register for congress.
Damian Hutt, Executive Director of the AAE, comments: “The Association Awards recognise those who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and best practice in leadership, development and service within membership organisations. Being able to offer award entry free of charge and places for finalists at the dinner is a really important part of our ethos: we want to ensure we truly shine a light on all good practice and so are encouraging as many entries as possible.
“Entries have been very strong this year and we are delighted with the response to the awards. We’re looking forward to the Awards Dinner and hearing the final results on the night.”
The Association Awards UK, alongside the International and European Association Awards, focus on recognising and sharing best practice in membership organisations. The AAE has been recognising and promoting excellence to its 15,000 members globally since 2006.
