The Vienna Convention Bureau joined forces with the capital’s two largest conference centers to bring 2,500 European snack industry experts and 2,000 urogynecological specialists to the city for their international get-togethers.
The European Snacks Association (ESA) meeting and the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) congress are coming to Vienna. Every two years the ESA stages the SNACKEX trade show and conference – the 17th edition will take place from 21 to 22 June, 2017 at the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center. The 43rd annual meeting of the International Urogynecological Association will take place at the Austria Center Vienna from June 26–30, 2018. Both congress centers played an active role in the acquisition process from the outset, working alongside the Vienna Convention Bureau to show the pioneering and internationally-respected organizations the advantages of the Austrian capital as a meeting destination.
Platform for the international snack industry
Organized by the ESA, SNACKEX is a trade show, major exhibition, networking event and congress all rolled into one. The forum is the only European event dedicated to the savory snack and snack nuts industry. Spread across 5,000 square meters, SNACKEX will bring together more than 120 exhibitors and 2,500 experts from the entire production and supply chain from over 80 countries, which is a true reflection of the show’s global reach. The event serves all stages of this particular industry´s demand and provides a unique opportunity to buy, sell and network among top management, qualified buyers and key decision-makers.
Specialist urogynecological congress
Each year the IUGA congress brings together around 2,000 delegates from all over the world to discuss the latest advances in urogynecology and pelvic reconstruction surgery. More than 300 scientific lectures and podium discussions await participants. Prof. Paul Riss, IUGA president from 2004 to 2006 and chairman of the hosting committee sees Vienna as the ideal congress location: “Vienna has been a leading urogynecological research location since the end of the 19th century. The city has numerous specialists in this particular field, and the Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck medical universities are leading international competence centers. Vienna’s legendary hospitality and its excellent infrastructure and leisure options were among the factors that helped the city on its way to securing the 2018 IUGA Congress”.
