WTM London 2016 Boasts Industry Leading Research and Reports

World Travel Market London 2016, the leading global event for the travel industry, will unveil an array of research in to a variety of sectors within the global travel industry when it opens its doors between Monday 7 – Wednesday 9 November.

WTM London is the place to discover the latest trends and forecast with a number of bespoke reports by a plethora of leading research organisations including Mintel, Euromonitor International, Neilsen, and Phocuswright.

The first piece of research to be unveiled is the World Travel Market Industry Report on Monday at 10.30am in the WTM International Press Centre Press Conference Room (ME580). The report polls both the global travel industry and 1,000 UK holidaymakers, and gives an insight into the conversations taking place on the WTM London exhibition floor.

Monday afternoon sees the Phocuswright Fast Track: State of European Startups take place at 12.30pm on the WTM Global Stage (AS950). The session will review Phocuswright’s latest data on start-up companies.

The following day sees the launch of WTM Global Trends Report, in association with Euromonitor International. The report includes a key trend for every geographical region of the industry alongside one for technology and global brands. The trade session takes place at the WTM Inspire Theatre – EU475 at 3pm. The press conference takes place at ME580 at 10.30am.

At 11am in South Gallery Room 15 & 16 Neilsen will exclusively reveal a report on millennial’s luxury purchases at airports.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender travel market is estimated to be worth $200 billion. OutNow will reveal its LGBT2030 research, looking at the opportunities for the industry at 12.45pm in Platinum Suite 3.

The final day of WTM London 2016 sees two unmissable research sessions. The first NUS Insight Presents: #FOMOholidays! Driving your UK student travel strategytakes place in South Gallery Room 15 & 16 at 12.30pm. The session will discuss how to attract the market of 6.5m 16-24 year old who spend more than £3billion a year on overseas holidays.

At 2pm, Mintel presents: Impact and opportunities of Brexit on the UK travel market. The session, in Platinum Suite 1, will look at the impact of Brexit on the UK as destination and source market, while also highlighting best practice to attract Chinese travellers – the highest spenders in the world.

WTM London is the event where the travel and tourism industry conducts its business deals. Buyers from the WTM Buyers’ Club have a combined purchasing responsibility of £22.6 billion (£15.8bn) and sign deals at the event worth $3.6 billion (£2.5bn).

WTM London 2016 will be revamped as a three-day event from Monday 7 – Wednesday 9 November, with opening hours extended from 10am – 7pm for all three days.
