It’s the final countdown for the 2nd Athens Street Food Festival. Today, May 5th at 17.00, the festival’s doors will open to welcome all visitors who will come to try out dozens of “street food” choices in this year’s festival edition.
With more than 35 stores, special pop-up stores by famous chefs exclusively for the festival, lots of surprises and big variety of “street cuisines”, the 2nd Athens Street Food Festival offers a unique tasting opportunity in an accordingly arranged space, of more than 4.000 sq.m.
From Thailand to Mexico, from Italy to Peru, From Germany to Turkey and the USA to the Greek cuisine, the 2nd Athens Street Food Festival presents “street tastes” from all over the world, in food as well as dessert. Of course, there will also be particularly set bars with great variety of cocktails, wine, Beer, cider, soft drinks.
Three distinguished chefs will be creating pop-up stores exclusively and limited to the festival’s duration:
Dimitris Katrivesis, following last year’s huge success, returns to Athens Street Food Festival with Pantera Negra as well as Vandal Burgers.
Stefanos Stefanidis, owner of Big Kahuna Burgers, presents the Mexican El Luchador.
Pastry chef Dimitris Makriniotis presents Sugar Rock.

All days of the 2nd Athens Street Food Festival will be featuring great music selections by famous radio producers. On Saturday 6/5 Giorgos Mouchtaridis will take over the decks, whereas on Saturday 20/5 get ready for DJ Food!
Since the beginning of ‘90s, the name DJ Food was associated with two highly eclectic points of reference of the decade: the exquisite record company Ninja Tune and the series Jazz Brakes, the 5 volumes of which contributed crucially in the shaping of trip-hop and abstract hip hop. Their dj sets in world’s most famous clubs were legendary and are points of reference for producers and djs.
The 2nd Athens Street Food Festival will take place during the first three long weekends of May (5-7, 12-14, 19-21) at Palaio Amaxostasio of OSY in Gazi (Old Hackstand).
