Networking at the heart of The Meetings Show

Once again, the opportunity to meet new people and rediscover old acquaintances will sit at the heart of The Meetings Show.  Spread across the whole week, the networking programme includes a host of official Show, partner and exhibitor events.

Kicking the week off on Monday 12th June is the Show’s annual Hosted Buyer Welcome Reception.  Taking place at the iconic Grand Connaught Rooms it is a chance to share knowledge gained at the Association Meetings Conference, discuss plans for The Meetings Show or simply catch up with colleagues from around the world.

There is no need to plan anything for Tuesday night either as MPI once again delivers an opportunity to meet and do good at the same time.  MPI’s Post Show Charity Party will kick off in The Hand & Flower as soon as the Show finishes on 13th June.  Funds raised from the all-inclusive event will directly benefit the UK’s meetings industry via The Event Apprenticeships Support Scheme through the new Government-backed Trailblazer programme.  Tickets, which include all food and drink, are £50 and available via http://www.mpiweb.org/Events/post-show/charity-party

“Alongside the creation of a marketplace and learning place, The Meetings Show has always delivered a place to meet and network.  2017 is no different,” comments Steve Knight, Event Director of The Meetings Show.  “I am delighted that The Grand Connaught rooms have partnered with us to deliver what is now one of the calendar’s most anticipated events and I would like to thank them for their support.  MPI’s decision to host a post-show reception on the Tuesday is a superb idea and I look forward to seeing everyone in what I expect will be a very packed Hand & Flower.”

Other events throughout the Show include:

  • A true taste of Argentina on 13th June at Gaucho, Piccadilly, London
  • Champagne Hour on 14th June on Atout France’s stand (B505) at 1500
  • Hygge reception on 14th June on Denmark’s stand (B500) from 1600-1700
  • 80s Agency Event on 14th June at Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington
