The Association of Association Executives (AAE) today announces that its next Associations World Congress will be held in Antwerp, Belgium, on 12 – 14 March 2018.
The annual gathering of the most influential international and European association executives is to be hosted at the recently-launched Flanders Meeting & Convention Centre, located within the Antwerp ZOO in the heart of the city, only half an hour from Brussels.
Following the highly successful 2017 edition, the growing popularity of Associations World Congress has seen its programme of streams and sessions rapidly expand, offering great education, networking and information to association delegates in attendance.
These include the popular Association Success Story session with detailed case studies from 20 associations. The case studies are published at the event and discussed during the session.
The co-located Association Leaders’ Forum for Executive Directors focuses on critical issues of importance for association leaders. With the help of experts, they actively face these issues and share the best methods of achieving solutions together as a group.
Koen Kennis, Antwerp’s Alderman for Tourism, says: “I am delighted that the renowned Associations World Congress has chosen Antwerp as a conference destination. Our aim is to put Antwerp on the international meeting destination map. Being host to so many associations who will experience us and what we can offer, helps us to realise our ambition. I am confident Antwerp has all the right ingredients to provide the participants with a thoroughly enjoyable experience.”
Damian Hutt, Executive Director of the Association of Association Executives, adds: “We are delighted to take our Associations World Congress to Antwerp. It is a fantastic location and only half an hour from Brussels. The venue has an excellent mix of the traditional with modern; great functionality and beauty, plus there’s a ZOO so it really has got something extra! We are currently researching the programme with our members to deliver the content they need to be thought-leaders and deliver the services their members require.”
The full programme for Associations World Congress 2018 will be announced in the coming months.
