Barbican brings carnival to London for Christmas 2019

The Barbican is making the most of its spectacular conservatory this Christmas with carnival-themed parties.

The Conservatory, which is the largest in the City of London, provides an oasis of calm, creativity and inspiration with its secluded gardens, tropical fish ponds and over 1,800 species of plants, making it a unique location for Christmas parties.

With food created by on-site caterer Searcys, delegates can experience a carnival-inspired feast of exotic dishes served on bamboo from street food stalls. Music and dancing to Latin beats is also included in the Garden Room, adjacent to the Conservatory.

Packages start at £99 + VAT per person to include hire of the Conservatory. Cocktails will be served on arrival, plus carnival snacks and food stations, three hours of unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks, and a DJ.  Organisers can add tropical additions to the packages such as face painters, mixologists and live music via the Barbican’s events team.

‘The Barbican’s Conservatory is a special and truly different location for Christmas events,’ comments Jenny Waller, Head of Sales at the Barbican. ‘The balance of the traditional Christmas spirit with the venue’s tropical style adds a wonderful feeling and sense of energy to any party. It is the ideal place for companies to gather, communicate and reflect on the past year’s success stories before looking ahead to 2020.’
