Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have brought forward the start of their Summer 23 season to Rhodes and Halkidiki, with flights operating from the beginning of April to both destinations for the first time

The leading leisure airline and UK’s leading tour operator to Greece will start flying to Rhodes from 2nd April and to Halkidiki from 1st April, perfect for those looking to get away at Easter. This means that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are operating to the popular Greek destinations earlier than ever before next year. It also gives customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility when it comes to enjoying some early summer sun or an Easter break.

The expansion is in response to customers looking to get away earlier in the summer and has resulted in thousands of extra seats being put on sale to Rhodes.

The extended summer season to Rhodes comes into effect from two UK bases, with flights now commencing from the following dates – Birmingham (two weekly services operating on Thursdays and Sundays from 2nd April) and Manchester (twice weekly services operating on Mondays and Fridays from 3rd April). As well as flights operating earlier in the season, a choice of fantastic hotels are now ready to book from early-April onwards as well as throughout the summer.

As the largest and historically the most important of the Dodecanese islands, Rhodes sits pretty in the southern part of the Aegean Sea and boasts beaches, ancient historic sites and charming villages. Whether holidaymakers want to experience culture, relax on the beach, or enjoy some nightlife, Rhodes has ever type of getaway covered with its mix of holiday must-haves. Resorts on sale include Pefkos, Ixia, Kiotari, Ialyssos, Kalithea, Lindos, Rhodes Town, Faliraki, Kolymbia, Theologos, Lardos and Kalathos.

The UK’s leading airline and tour operator are also boosting their Halkidiki programme for Summer 23, with an extended summer season providing more choice for holidaymakers and independent travel agents.

Flights and holidays to Halkidiki will now start from 1st April from Manchester and London Stansted Airports (Tuesday and Saturday services), with weekly Friday services starting from Birmingham Airport from 7th April. In addition to these additional flights, a range of hotels will also be available to select from for customers looking to enjoy an ATOL protected package holiday or city break.

Made up of a trio of peninsulas, Halkidiki is a slice of tucked-away mainland Greece and has an undiscovered feel about it. Holidaymakers can discover Sithonia’s beaches while the ancient relics offer plenty of history.

As well as offering flights and holidays, customers can also choose from a city break option to Thessaloniki. Packages with Jet2CityBreaks include return flights with Jet2.com, a generous 22kg baggage allowance and a fantastic choice of 2-5 star hotels in central locations, providing the perfect base to explore the ancient city. As Greece’s second city, Thessaloniki offers history and culture, a diverse dining scene and some of the best Blue Flag beaches in all of Greece.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Rhodes and Halkidiki are enormously popular destinations, and there is great demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book or travel earlier in the summer season or getaway at Easter. As the UK’s leading airline and tour operator to Greece, we have reacted to that demand and extended the Summer 23 seasons to Rhodes and Halkidiki, providing customers with the holiday choices that they want. What a great choice for the travellers from Manchester, London Stansted and Birmingham to enjoy Spring holidays in Greece. That only brings us to one tough dilemma before booking: Halkidiki or Rhodes? Both destinations are so different but sharing the same high values of hospitality, friendliness, and great cuisine. April is indeed the ideal month to experience Greece with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays selected offers to Rhodes and Halkidiki”.
