Direct Air Serbia flights to Greek islands in 2023

During the next summer season, Air Serbia will begin operating direct seasonal flights to Greek islands of Rhodes, Corfu, as well as to the two largest cities on the island of Crete, Heraklion and Chania. Flights to these destinations will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft from the Serbian national airline’s fleet. Tickets are already available for purchase at the starting price of 99 euros for one-way flights in economy class. With the addition of four new Greek cities to its network of direct flights, Air Serbia is expanding its presence in this Mediterranean country to as many as six destinations.

“Greece is one of the famous tourist destinations, and the demand for flights to Greek islands is extremely high during the summer season. By listening to the needs of passengers, we have decided to add some of the most popular charter flights to our scheduled services. With our direct flights, the favorite holiday destinations in Crete, Rhodes and Corfu are now even closer to Serbia, while the excellent connections via Belgrade will provide even more opportunities for passengers to reach the most beautiful beaches in Europe throughout our network”, said Bojan Aranđelović, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling, Air Serbia.

Starting on 28 April 2023, Air Serbia will begin operating flights to the capital of Crete, Heraklion. During your stay in Crete, be sure to visit the Archaeological Museum which is home to unique treasures of the Minoan civilization, or the ancient city of Knossos, where the Minotaur lived, according to the legends. At the Heraklion green market, buy some Crete olive oil, local wine, honey, or herbal spice. It will be a wonderful reminder of the days spent on the island, to which the national airline will fly four times a week during the summer season – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Air Serbia will also operate flights to the second biggest city in Crete, Chania, starting on 4 June 2023, up to three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The rich cultural heritage of this city which is more than 5000 years old is filled with colour, scents, tastes, and music. Fans of culture will certainly enjoy the numerous remnants of the Minoan civilization. The special charm of Chania is the crystal-clear water and fine white sand, which is great for families with children.

Starting on 5 June, the national airline will also be flying to Rhodes, four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The old part of Rhodes is home to the XIV century Kritinia Castle, an impressive clock tower, the Archaeological Museum, and the Byzantine Museum. The newer part of the city is no less interesting, and among the numerous buildings from the period of Italian rule, the National Theatre and the Church of Annunciation stand out in particular. Near Theologos village is the famous Butterfly Valley, where millions of butterflies appear between June and September.

Starting on 9 June 2023, you can travel to one of the most charming islands in the Mediterranean, Corfu, by direct Air Serbia flights. Flights will be operated on Mondays and Fridays. The sea, the sun, and the wind have carved an impressive coast with golden sandy beaches and snow-white shingle beaches with rocks reminiscent of modern art gallery structures. During the rich history of Corfu, numerous palaces, fortresses, churches, museums, libraries, galleries, traditional homes, green olive groves, and lively harbors have been built. The old town is reminiscent of times past even today, and the strong European influences are visible everywhere, appropriately coexisting and giving the city a unique colour.
