The Kos International Convention Center (KICC) successfully hosted the 15th annual IEEE EDUCON (Global Engineering Education Conference) from May 8 to May 11, 2024. This significant event was organized in collaboration with the University of Piraeus, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the University of West Attica, bringing together over 400 participants from 57 countries and five continents.
Diverse Participation and Extensive Discussions
This forum provided the opportunity for academic staff, professors, educators, and government representatives to extensively discuss current trends and challenges in engineering education. The conference program included three keynote speeches from renowned global experts, seven special sessions, two roundtables, eleven workshops, and two seminars.
Innovative Topics and Technical Program
The topics covered were numerous, focusing on the development of innovative teaching methods, cybersecurity, and the promotion of practical applications in engineering education. The technical program included 194 full papers, 132 short papers, and 34 work-in-progress papers, all subjected to a double-blind peer review process.
Highlighting the Importance of International Collaboration
The success of EDUCON 2024 highlights the importance of international collaboration and lifelong learning in the field of engineering. We are confident that participants gained rich educational and informative experiences, and that the discussions held will contribute to the further development of engineering education worldwide.
