Milan, 25th November 2024 – The 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) transformed Milan into a global hub for space innovation, breaking attendance records and showcasing the brightest minds and technologies in space exploration. The five-day congress, held from 14 to 18 October at Milan’s MiCo Convention Centre, attracted more than 11.200 delegates from 120 countries, far exceeding expectations and underlining the growing interest in the future of space.
Organised by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) with the local host, the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA), and the co-hosts, the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and Leonardo, with the support of AIM Group International as PCO, the IAC’s milestone event featured groundbreaking developments, including the reveal of new NASA lunar suits by Prada and Axiom Space, designed for the highly anticipated Artemis III mission—the first manned lunar landing since 1972.

In a historic first, the IAF Global Space Leaders’ Summit convened 60 space agency heads and leaders, marking a milestone in global policy collaboration and a strong step towards unified space governance.

On the event’s final day, the congress opened its doors to the public, drawing in over 3.500 visitors, including high school and university students, to witness and engage with the wonders of space.
