SKY express, continuing the dynamic expansion of its international network, announces the launch of its new direct flight from Athens to Amsterdam. The inaugural flight took place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, with the schedule offering four weekly routes on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, enhancing connectivity between the two cities.
The new destination is served by SKY express’s state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo aircraft, equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines that combine advanced technology with reduced environmental impact, ensuring a comfortable and exceptional travel experience for every passenger. The company operates the youngest fleet in Greece, consisting of 27 aircrafts as of 2024.
By early December, the Greek airline will have incorporated seven new destinations into its flight program (Tirana, Yerevan, Tbilisi, Istanbul, Prague, Vienna, and Amsterdam), increasing its international destinations to 22, while maintaining the largest domestic network with 33 destinations across Greece.
“The strategic development of SKY express’s flight network continues dynamically with the addition of a significant and popular destination, none other than the city of Amsterdam. The Athens-Amsterdam connection once again reaffirms our commitment to continuously create new connectivity opportunities with popular European destinations, combining affordable prices with a high-level travel experience,” said Vasilis Krasanakis, Network Planning & Pricing Manager at SKY express.
